It is with great excitement that I can announce that my short story Repercussions will be appearing in the “Book of Choices” anthology, due for publication this fall! They have decided to make the anthology in two volumes, and my story will be in volume one.
This story means a lot to me as a writer. If you recall from my March 2024 Writing Update, this story represents a bit of a penance for me. My college friends published my awful short story Ashes to Ashes way back in the early 1990s, and though I am sure they believed it was worthy I still feel like it was included just because I was a member of the staff. Repercussions is my do-over, my chance to write a story that was thoroughly inspired by the creepy stuff I watched and read and see it published for others to appreciate.
So a big thank you to J. Beth Drew and everyone at Wolf Grove Media for this opportunity. I am thrilled that you found my story worthy of inclusion, and I appreciate all the time and hard work that goes into the making of a book like this. Finally, this also means that I can officially call my goal of having 2 short stories published in 2024 achieved! Watch for my next monthly writing update for a little blurb about that!
